Ingredients & Directions

  • 1 lemon
  • 8 apple(about 3 pounds), peeled and cut into 1/4-inch-thick slices

  • 3 cups reduced fat (2%) milk

Grate 1/2 teaspoon zest from the lemon.  Stir the apples, cherries, sugar and lemon zest in a 4-quart slow cooker.

Cover and cook on LOW for 4 to 5 hours or until the apples are tender.

Beat the pudding mix and milk in a medium bowl with a whisk for about 2 minutes or until the mixture is thickened.

Divide the apple mixture among the pastry shells.  Top with the pudding mixture.

Tips

Flavor Variation: You can try substituting other flavors of pudding for the vanilla, such as lemon or even cheesecake!
